Help us add Tablets in 2021
Hawaii Literacy is asking local families and companies to help us bring new technology, e-books, and online literacy resources to hundreds of keiki and parents in need!
By donating new or gently used tablets, laptops, and e-readers computers to the Family Literacy Libraries, Bookmobile or Adult Literacy tutoring program, you will help youth who struggle in school get excited about reading in a new way and start to build the technology skills they need for future success. Parents use tablets to practice literacy lessons, share stories, and learn with their children.
Perhaps you have a tablet at home that is not often used, or you can Sponsor a tablet with every $150 donation. Mahalo for helping our programs provide the best literacy services for hundreds of adults and keiki learning to read!
***All tablets, Kindles, or iPads in almost new working condition are very gratefully accepted. We especially seek tablets with 16GB or greater storage and 7″ or larger displays, to optimally run the reading applications for the youth programs.***
