Once you make your suggested donation for prize tickets, we will e-mail you to confirm how many tickets to allocate to each drawing package.

We will e-mail you your ticket numbers.

If you are attending the pau hana block party

Your tickets will be pre-filled out (with your name and contact info on the back of each) and ready to pick up at the Pau Hana Block Party Prize Drawing table until 8:15 pm. You are welcome to pick them up and enter them into the prize drawing boxes of your choice.

if you are not attending

Those not present or picked up at the event by 8:15 pm will be entered into the drawings according to confirmation e-mail instructions or split evenly across all packages if no confirmation is received.

Prize drawing tickets not only give you a chance at one-of-a-kind packages, but also support the cause of greater literacy for adults and keiki throughout Hawaii!


Prize drawing tickets will be available at the event for the suggested donation of:

  • 4 tickets for $20

  • 10 tickets for $40

  • $100 for a whole arm span of tickets!

Use all your tickets for one package or go for them all.

Now until September 5, any donation of $20 or more made to Hawaii Literacy will also receive this same number of tickets to be entered into the prize drawing of your choice.

Need not be present to win

All winners who are not present at the event and drawing on September 5 at 8:30pm will be contacted by 5pm HST September 6, 2018 at the e-mail address provided with your donation or ticket purchase. Winners must claim prize by December 1, 2019.

Per state law, no purchase necessary. To enter without the suggested donation or ticket purchase, please send a SASE to our office address at 245 N. Kukui St, Suite 202, Honolulu, HI 96817 and a ticket will be mailed to you for entry in the prize drawing of your choice. All ticket entries are valid only until September 5 at 8:30pm HST and have no cash value.

Donations made to Hawaii Literacy that receive tickets in return are not considered tax-deductible. If you decline the offered tickets, your donation is tax-deductible and an acknowledgement of your donation will be mailed to you.
